Problem Solving Formula For Parenting Professionals.
S.O.L.V.E. is an interactive, logical, “how to” workshop designed to help parents and providers deal with any behavioral issues they face when working with children. S.O.L.V.E. is designed for professionals who teach parenting classes or support families through in-home visiting, childcare and pre-school settings.
The program guides the parent to learn a specific “problem solving formula” by asking a set of questions designed to build healthy relationships with children. The workshop format includes family support, identifying multigenerational patterns, cultural diversity, behavioral interventions, risk factors or “red flags” and questions to ask yourself when you feel ‘stuck’ on a problem with children.
Parents learn how to not take on the problems that families face, but instead teach parents self-support through specific problem solving techniques.
