Swinging my child at the park became a defining moment in my life. Another mom came up to me and said, “I’ve been watching how beautifully behaved your daughter is, how did you do that?” All I said was “Dr. Ann!” Dr. Ann has been in my life for the past 4 years and she has amazingly effective tips and tools to use as a parent, and, more importantly, they work! My child throws everything! After talking to Dr. Ann I know that throwing is normal, but the only piece I was missing is that kids need to know where and when and what to throw. So I don’t tell my son not to throw anymore, he just knows where and when to do it!

I used to tell my toddler that I was not going to tell him again, because he knows better! But, after listening to Dr. Ann I know now that ‘kids learn best by repetition’ so I take the time to tell them over and over what I expect of them!

Our seven year old was so shy! She had lots of separation anxiety and cried every time she was in a group of other kids. Dr. Ann suggested we first start teaching what her feelings were called through books and then ‘model’ for her what to do with her feelings. Thanks to Dr. Ann I give her more space to help her find ways to overcome her challenges.

My son tackled kids everywhere he went; that was how he said hello! I was embarrassed to take him anywhere. Dr. Ann taught me how to help him learn to tackle in the appropriate time and place and then teach him ‘how to’ say hello without touching other kids. I am confident to take my son anywhere and he even seems more relaxed now that he knows how to say hello!

My three year old said he wanted a ‘big boy bed’, but got up every night after we put him to bed! After many nights of this, I started to lose my patience, yelling and making threats to get him back to bed. I called The Parenting Doctor. Within two days of doing exactly what Dr. Ann said, he didn’t come out of bed anymore. It worked!
